The main difference between a manual wheel balancer and semi-automatic wheel balancer is the data input capabilities, the manual balancers you must input all the measurements of the wheel yourself whereas on a semi-automatic you only need to input the width of the wheel manually as the measuring arm will automatically detect the size of the wheel when the pointer reaches the wheel rim.
